Biography
I am a mental health counselor holding a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. My journey toward mental health counseling began during my time as an attorney when I worked closely with clients who had endured traumatic experiences. I witnessed the transformative power of therapy in aiding individuals toward healing and reintegrating the mind-body connection.
I provide care to individuals and families of diverse backgrounds throughout the lifespan experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I am committed to supporting my clients on their healing journey towards health and well-being. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
I base my conceptualization on third-wave cognitive behavioral therapies, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It is my belief that once we understand our inner life, we are able to navigate challenges with strength and confidence. In order to do so, I work to meet clients where they are in their journey and tailor evidence-based interventions to help meet their goals. Additionally, I am trained in behavioral medicine to support individuals struggling with adapting to medical conditions.
I approach the therapeutic relationship with genuine care and respect for the uniqueness of every person.
