    Biography

I specialize in working with children to build their existing social-emotional skills in conjunction with their parents to best support the family’s journey.  This work includes building skills to improve positive communication, emotional regulation, ability to identify and understand feelings, social relationships, and other challenges they may be experiencing, including anxiety and depression. My experience has made me passionate about the importance of using a collaborative approach to child therapy.  I believe that individuals and families are experts in their own lives. This is why I often find the best therapeutic work occurs when the therapist is able to work with the entire family system.

I pull from different clinical approaches and techniques. This often includes components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Expressive and Art therapy techniques to create a therapeutic environment that focuses on further developing the strengths of the family system to guide them toward their identified goals. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in a wide range of settings, including early childhood development centers, adolescent stabilization programs, parent coaching in the community with people with severe and persistent mental illness, in-home and outpatient therapy.

I enjoy working with my clients in a welcoming and supportive environment.
